Scientific Council and professors
VTI's Scientifiec Council shall promote scientific quality and research ethics at VTI. The Council also works to strengthen the competence and development opportunities for our research staff and consists of VTI's appointed professors.
VTI has the following professors:

- Astrid Linder – Road safety with a focus on injury prevention
- Henrik Andersson – Economics with a specialization in transport economics
- Jan Andersson – Human-machine interaction (HMI) in the transport sector
- Jan-Eric Nilsson (emeritus professor) – Economics
- Karolina Isaksson – Social sciences with a focus on transport policy and planning
- Maria Börjesson – Economics with a focus on transport
- Sigurdur Erlingsson – Road and track engineering
- Yvonne Andersson-Sköld – Environmental analysis with a focus on transport
