Jens Portinson Hylander conducts research on policy, planning and governance for sustainability transitions in the transport system, primarily with a focus on public transport and climate adaptation. He holds a PhD in Environmental and Energy Systems from Lund University and specializes in qualitative research methods.

Jens is interested in power perspectives in planning and policy processes in the transport system and its linkages to urban and regional development, but also conducts policy-oriented research on, among other things, climate adaptation of the transport system, the role of the state in the development of public transport and local and regional policies for sustainable transport.
