Carina Fors is a senior researcher in the field of road equipment and has been working at VTI since 2007. She primarily works with road markings, but also with road lighting, traffic signs, and other road equipment, focusing on the interaction between road, driver, and vehicle.

Her area of expertise includes functional requirements and performance measurement, material testing, visibility/readability, measurement methods, and data-driven analysis.

The research is conducted within Nordic and national projects, often commissioned by road authorities.

Carina is the assistant project manager for the Nordic certification system for road marking materials, NordicCert, and is responsible for the annual validation of mobile measurement instruments used for functional assessment of road markings.

She holds a Master of Science in Applied Physics (2003) and a Licentiate degree in Medical Engineering (2007).
