VTI conducts research and development in the area of pavement technology viewed in a life cycle perspective.
The base is testing and development of material properties for both classic road materials and new innovative materials. The focus is on issues relating to how cost-effectiveness can be increased while taking transport quality, traffic safety and the environment into consideration.
