I am an environmental economist and got my PhD at the University of Gothenburg in spring 2001. I work at VTIs Borlänge Office and has over 15 years' experience of quantification and monetary valuation of the effects of air pollution on health and the environment, most recently in the context of the VTI government commission SAMKOST. This is information that can be used in the economic analysis of policy instruments. Since 2012 I also work with studies on the making and use of socio-economic decision-making in relation to environment, tourism and transport. This is partly a result of the experience I gained from efforts to develop a regional climate and energy strategy in 2010-2012 for the Dalarna County Administrative Board. I have in recent years carried out projects for, among others, the Swedish Transport Agency and the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB). In addition to research, I have also taught Economics at Dalarna University. My research interests are:

Design of policy instruments in environment and transport, particularly with regard to geographical differences. Economically efficient instruments for improved air quality. Economic research regarding the analysis of risks in society. The application of the method "Regulatory Impact Assessment" in public decision-making.
