The research unit Traffic analysis and logistics is focused on traffic analyses and logistical aspects of transportation systems.

Development and application of traffic models are central to our traffic analyses. We are also developing empirically based cause and effect relationships for the transportation system. Within freight and transport logistics we are currently focused on urban and national goods transport, respectively.

Our research questions are about: effects of societal trends, policies and new technology on peoples’ travel and companies’ goods transport solutions, design and implementation of new sustainable transport systems and decision support to companies and authorities.
