Lunch & Learn: Lane-based dynamic traffic control using connected vehicles

  • 9 May

In order to explore the possibility of taking advantage of connected vehicles for more efficient traffic management, a pre-study has recently been conducted by VTI and Lindholmen Science Park in collaboration with Trafikverket, Volvo Cars, and Göteborgs Stad.

The goal of the pre-study was to identify promising traffic control strategies for more detailed analysis. This was investigated through a literature review and through two workshops with stakeholders, one focusing on goals and possible solutions and one focusing on advantages and disadvantages for two selected application cases.

The pre-study in Swedish: "Körfältsbaserad dynamisk trafikstyrning med uppkopplade fordon: Resultat från en litteraturstudie och diskussion med svenska intressenter" (VTI DiVA-portal External link.
