In the method description it is stated how surveys of the following properties of the test snowplough and a reference snowplough should be made: - Ploughing effectiveness on a test track. - Ploughing effectiveness on public roads. - Cutting ability on a test track covered with hard packed snow. - Throw height and distance of ploughed snow on a test track. - Noise outside on a test track and on public roads. - Noise inside the vehicle cabin on public roads. - Fuel consumption on public roads. - Wear of the steel cutting edge on public roads. - Time consumption for pushing out and pulling in the side plough. - Releasing of the shock valve of the side plough. - Releasing of the steel blade holder. - Measurement or calculation of front axle load with the snow plough lifted. In addition, drivers' views on the use of the ploughs on public roads would be identified.
