VTI in brief
VTI in brief
VTI, Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute, is the largest transport research environment in Sweden, with almost 190 employees.
The Ministry of Enterprise, Energy and Communications has the overall charge of the activities of VTI.
Director General is Jonas Bjelfvenstam.
In 2008 the turnover was SEK 167 million.
Among the customers and clients, the Swedish Road Administration and the Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems, Vinnova, are the largest.
The head office of VTI is in Linköping. Branch offices are situated in Stockholm, Göteborg and Borlänge.
The history of VTI started in 1923.
