Nordic Road & Transport Research

Nordic Road & Transport Research

Nordic Road & Transport Research is a joint publication of six public road and transport research organisations in the Nordic countries, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. The main objective of the publication is to disseminate research results and news from the institutions, especially to researchers and decision makers. Each institution is responsible for the selection and presentation of the material from its own scope of activities.

Nordic Road & Transport Research is published two times a year. It is regularly sent out, free of charge, to recipients selected by the six joint publishers. You can subscribe to a newsmail with information about our publications or a subscription of the paper version of the Nordic Road & Transport Research.

Safe Ride – Traffic safety for children with disabilities

Shouldn't it be a natural right for children with disabilities to travel in the same safe and comfortable manner as anyone else? Unfortunately, this is not the case in reality.

Parents of children and adolescences with disabilities have, for many years, expressed concern about the lack of safety in the way their children were transported with the Special Transportation System.

The purpose of this handbook is to present a comprehensible image of traffic safety issues from the erspective of the children and the parents.
